At the top of the stairs is a custom arched door that draws one into the Master Suite and the view of Boca Ciega Bay beyond.

The client found this tassled artwork which was just the right detail.

Boca Ciega Bay beyond!

The view of Boca Ciega Bay is stunning, so the original platform was retained and updated, to fit the client's desire for a Tulum inspired retreat.

The renovation involved the roof being raised two feet in order to give the volume needed for the airy space.

All new windows and sliding doors were added to the suite.

The whole suite has microcement finishes with only a couple walls being painted. The floors and shower are both seamless microcement and the client says they are super easy to clean and maintain.

This rough texture of the coral rock is balanced by the smooth finish of the microcement.

The perfect combo of white oak custom cabinets and Taj Mahal quartzite.

The Bathroom with its organic shaped back lit mirrors and Taj Mahal quartzite countertop and backsplash create a sense of calm over the space.

The space limitations prevented a large tub, but this upright Japanese soaking tub was the perfect solution.
Tulum Inspired Coastal Retreat
Inspired by the clients' love of Tulum, Mexico, this waterfront St. Pete Beach primary suite was completely transformed into a serene coastal retreat. The original cedar-clad interior felt dark and dated, while the new design embraces a soft, organic palette of microcement finishes, natural stone, warm woods, and sculptural forms.
The spa-inspired bath features seamless microcement walls and floors with no grout lines, a skylit walk-in shower, a freestanding soaking tub set against a dramatic limestone feature wall, custom floating vanities, and softly illuminated organic mirrors. Natural woven pendants and brushed bronze fixtures add warmth and texture while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic.
In the bedroom, exposed wood beams, soft neutral drapery, and carefully curated textures create a boutique resort atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxed. The result is a timeless waterfront sanctuary that captures the essence of Tulum while remaining perfectly suited to life on Florida's Gulf Coast.
